How To Reach Mysore

To reach Mysore, a city in the southern part of India, you have several transportation options depending on your starting point and preferences. Here are a few common methods of reaching Mysore:

  1. By Air: If you are traveling from a distant location or another country, the nearest major airport to Mysore is Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bengaluru (Bangalore). From the airport, you can take a taxi or a pre-booked cab to Mysore, which is approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) away. The journey by road can take around 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
  2. By Train: Mysore has a well-connected railway station, and several trains operate to and from the city. You can check the Indian Railways website or other reliable travel portals to find trains that suit your schedule. Mysore Junction (MYS) is the main railway station in the city. It has trains connecting to major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and more.
